Tony is the Director, Counseling Services at The Alan S. Harris Group, (The ASH Group) and is responsible for heading up the Counseling Services Division which includes transition and outplacement programs. He is a former Executive Vice President of Harris McCully Associates, Inc.
Tony is highly recognized for his expertise in transitioning corporate employees into entrepreneurial situations. His long experience with individual and group counseling led him to develop The ASH Group’s customized Spousal Assistance and Retirement Programs. These programs allow professional assessment and development techniques for relocated spouses of employees and for individuals who are deciding upon next steps after retiring from the corporate sector.
Tony is an entrepreneur, business planner and leader. He has been involved in the New Jersey State Government, the New Jersey Council of the Arts and has sat on the Governor’s Advisory Council. His expertise in human relations continues to make him a resource for major corporations and not-for-profit organizations. His prior experience before joining the Alan S. Harris Group included Merck & Co., where he was involved with the relocation of their world headquarters and the assimilation of the company into the local community, Pfizer Pharmaceuticals, where he conducted successful “team building” seminars and courses for employees, and Ortho Pharmaceuticals, where he developed the integration of merit award programs.
Tony has also worked with unions, executives, for profit and not- for-profit corporations and has an easy and effective counseling style. Tony began his career in academia as an educator and counselor. He founded and was the Director of the Sensory Environment Project in New Jersey. Tony received a B.A. in Education Counseling and an M.A. in Humanities from Kean University, New Jersey.
